U.A.E Trip
Never would i have thought of travelling to the middle east. But the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E) was a must see destination as it is known for its unique skyscrapers, engineering marvels such as the Palm Islands and a melting pot of different cultures and people.
The UAE comprises of seven different emirates or state that form the country. Since it was a week trip, i decided to head to the two most famous emirates of Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
Dubai is like the future, it has many architectural marvels and the city is very developed. It is not just about the buildings, there are tons of attractions to visit and understand how far this city has come. If you want a feel of the old charm of Dubai, head to Deira and you will be mesmerised by the historic architectural there. Highlights of the trip was going up to the Burj Khalifa observatory to see the sunset and the desert tour that includes dune bashing and camel riding.
Abu Dhabi was a 2 hour bus ride from Dubai and I stayed a night there. The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is just spectacular and the Lourve is another futuristic attraction with it's unique dome shape roof. A good spot for photos especially when there is sunlight shining through the roof.
Nevertheless there are many attractions to discover which i didn't manage to due time constraints, but i must say that both cities has a lot to offer and if you have more time, go discover other 5 Emirates of Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al-Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al-Quwain.
